De Hef

De Hef

Locals call the Koningshaven Bridge De Hef, a nickname that this restaurant, located so close to this Rotterdam landmark, has taken for itself too. The monumental railway bridge is an unmissable part of Rotterdamโ€™s cityscape, despite being replaced by a tunnel in 1993. Owners Saskia and Martin Vaandrager serve a four-course menu in their restaurant at the foot of the bridge, which is romantically lit up in the evenings. The menu includes smoked rib-eye with Waldorf salad, sole fillet with onion jam and celery, and veal cheeks with artichoke and salsify. Desserts include a white chocolate tart with a creamy filling and mango, or perhaps you might like to round off your meal with a Dutch or international cheese platter.
