De Hef
Locals call the Koningshaven Bridge De Hef, a nickname that this restaurant, located so close to this Rotterdam landmark, has taken for itself too. The monumental railway bridge is an unmissable part of Rotterdamโs cityscape, despite being replaced by a tunnel in 1993. Owners Saskia and Martin Vaandrager serve a four-course menu in their restaurant at the foot of the bridge, which is romantically lit up in the evenings. The menu includes smoked rib-eye with Waldorf salad, sole fillet with onion jam and celery, and veal cheeks with artichoke and salsify. Desserts include a white chocolate tart with a creamy filling and mango, or perhaps you might like to round off your meal with a Dutch or international cheese platter.
