Zalmhuis

Though Zalmhuis (Salmon House) is a city icon, the interior needed a little makeover. So that’s exactly what new owner Herman Hell did – and he did it exceptionally well! Located at the foot of the Van Brienenoord Bridge, Zalmhuis is the latest hotspot for eating the best fish. Surrounded by contemporary furniture, striking wall prints and authentic details, it offers everything from pulled salmon sandwiches to crispy salmon sushi and even the exclusive Keta salmon from Alaska, home-smoked organic Scottish salmon or a salmon ‘high tea’. Chef Lars Litz has many non-salmon and slightly eccentric dishes in store for those who stop by, too.

Schaardijk 396 (Rivium), Open: Mon-Fri from 9 AM, Sat & Sun from 11 AM, +31(0)10-2665050, zalmhuis.nl
