Welcome to Manuela’s tropical kitchen, proof that you don’t always need to board a plane to feel like you are on a holiday. The decor here does the trick: the pink kitchen with its palm-tree print, the amazing painted ceiling and the laidback atmosphere all suggesting you’re somewhere far more exotic. Toko Trash doesn’t only look tropical: it tastes it too! Be sure to try the pina colada cake and homemade hotdogs sat outside on their sun-trap terrace on mismatched sofas. Absolute bliss!

Rotterdam has solidified its position as a global leader in nightlife culture with the release of the Creative Footprint (CFP) report. Already known for its dynamic history in music and nightlife, Rotterdam now joins cities like Berlin, New York, Tokyo, Stockholm, Montréal and Sydney as the focus of VibeLab’s detailed analysis of urban nighttime economies. The Creative Footprint Rotterdam report, conducted in early 2024, explores the city’s creative spaces and communities to assess the cultural vibrancy and creative influence of its music and nightlife scenes. It offers a strategic framework and recommendations for the Municipality of Rotterdam to further support its dynamic nightlife culture and community.
