International Film Festival Rotterdam

The tiger is back! Join the International Film Festival in June

The International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) is one of the largest public film events in the world. The Festival actively supports independent filmmaking from around the globe and is a recognized platform in Europe for launching new films and talent.

50th edition

Usually IFFR is being held in January and/or February but the global pandemic messed up the festival and all the planned festivities for the 50th jubilee-edition. Luckily for us, IFFR 2021 was split in two!

The celebratory festival days are taking place from Wednesday 2 to Sunday 6 June 2021 (with on demand available until 9 June), after the first part of its 50th edition in February. The June festival will take place online and in Rotterdam.

Test event

IFFR in June is a test event. This means that in order to visit the physical festival, you are required to show a negative coronavirus test via testenvoortoegang.nl. All IFFR visitors have to get tested within 40 hours before visiting the event, even if they are already vaccinated.
