Zuidplein Theater hailed “Real Rotterdam Heritage”
Theater Zuidplein has been officially named “Real Rotterdam Heritage” during the Story Café ‘Real Rotterdam South Theater’ in Museum Rotterdam. Mariska van Elsen, head of marketing & programming at the theatre, was awarded the certificate by Nicole van Dijk, curator at Museum Rotterdam. In order to be named “Real Rotterdam Heritage”, four criteria were crucial: being typical to Rotterdam, committed to the city, open to connection and “pioneers in our profession”.
This great news comes at a special moment for Theater Zuidplein, as they also celebrated their 65th anniversary. In addition, the theatre is developing a new building across the street from the current location. The future building promises to be the cultural hotspot of Hart van Zuid, a dynamic meeting place where people can enjoy shows, events and good food.
