NY Basement

This is a new restaurant with an old soul. NY Basement is a fine dining restaurant in Hotel New York’s souterrain. It’s every bit as hip and historic as the ground floor restaurant, but is smaller, more exclusive and intimate. As guests descend the so-called ‘stairway to history’ they find themselves transported to a previous era. The former technical room of the Holland America Line’s headquarters is decorated in a 1920’s Manhattan style. Settle down at the impressive 11 metre-long bar and enjoy an exotic cocktail. Lunch and dinner is served in the very same place where in the past so many people set off for North America. The menu offers whole and half portions and includes favourites such as eggs benedict, steak tartare and Dutch lamb.
