When a restaurant has been led by the same chef for more than 15 years, you know it’s something special. Lokanta, the oldest tapas bar in Rotterdam, is fully devoted to authentic Spanish flavours. Chef Sandor has earned a loyal following in Kralingen, serving both beloved classics and lesser-known regional tapas, paired exclusively with Spanish wines, Spanish beer on tap, and their famous homemade sangria.
The cosy, colourful spot brings the whole neighbourhood together. Every Wednesday, live guitar music fills the room from 19:00, and on Sundays, Lokanta regularly hosts special events such as live paella cooking, Spanish Sunday roasts, or high wine afternoons.
