Coffee and cycling go together very well. All over the world there are dedicated spots. In Rotterdam Coppi and Five Five Five already meet the needs of cyclists. Now Giraffe Coffee and Bomba Bomba Cycling opened another one-stop-shop at the Hoogstraat together.
On the ground floor you will find high-end cycling apparel and accessories in the Bomba Bomba Cycling Boutique. In the espresso bar of Giraffe Coffee you will find all single origin and blend coffees as well as an extensive tea menu by JING Tea and also a menu with sweet and delicious sandwiches. There is a small shop where you can buy special coffees and brewing equipment.
In the basement you’ll find the Giraffe Coffee Academy. Coffee professionals work hard on their skills and home baristas can indulge with all the workshops on coffee and tea.
Bomba Bomba Cycling Boutique & Cycling Club
Bomba Bomba is an initiative by Maurice Ajanaku (Marketing Director citizenM) and Arno van Eijmeren (entrepreneur and owner of cocktail bars Dr. and Calaboose) who already knows the Hoogstraat by heart as he also is the owner of Barrelproof Boutique almost opposite the new hotspot. Hooogstraat is a perfect location for the newcomer as the street is filled with successful specialty shops, bars, and restaurants. Furthermore, many of the best cycling routes are easily reached. Every month bicycle lovers come together to start the day with a delicious cup of coffee and then ride a beautiful route, with interesting stops. Every ride has its own theme and destination.
Bomba Bomba stands for: “Pedal Pedal, keep going, the pain will be forgotten but the memory will stay forever”. In the boutique, you can buy the most beautiful items from exclusive cycling brands like Pas Normal Studios, NDLSS, and Velocio.
In the coming weeks, the Giraffe Coffee Bar will be open from Thursday to Sunday from 8:00 to 17:00.
From mid-August, the bar will be open every day.
You can visit Bomba Bomba from Thursday to Sunday between 9:00 and 18:00 for the best clothing advice. The other days we will be cycling to find the most beautiful routes for you! The webshop is of course open every day.
