Len Faki, I-F, Nelly and Helena Hauff go on Expedition

The first edition of Expedition Festival was in 2013.  Since then it was held at several locations. But on Saturday, September 24 a new edition takes place at Roel Langerakpark.

There is a diverse line-up with a lot of female artists like Nelly who is based in Rotterdam. Early in her life, Nelly was surrounded by a wide array of music but properly began exploring electronic sounds when she moved to Rotterdam. Her favorite spaces to dance in were cozy and sweaty basements. By then, she already used to spend hours making mixtapes in her bedroom. A time spent studying in Stockholm gave her the chance to buy her first controller and properly explore DJing, then a job behind the counter at the legendary Clone record store back home furthered her passion for digging ever deeper.

Other artists who will go on an expedition are Kikelomo (London-born but Berlin-based DJ, presenter, producer, curator and Boiler Room Host), Rotterdam-based Charmaine, and Helena Hauff. She’s from Hamburg and has become one of the techno scene’s most in-demand names, with her sets mixing gnarly acid, techno, EBM, and electro.

House, electro, techno and more at Expedition

Hunee is considered a real musical connoisseur taking listeners on an expedition. As likely to draw for a classic house record as he is a disco curveball, a boogie delight or mixing an African bomb into a techno record. I-F from The Hague has been responsible for possibly one of the biggest electro tunes in history. From Italo disco to acid, house to electro, I‑F knows and plays it all.

Len Faki is a Berlin-based DJ, producer, and label owner. He is one of the most outstanding and in-demand artists in techno’s present age. Being a resident at Berlin’s prime techno club Berghain since its opening in 2004 keeps him open-minded.

Fatima Yamaha, Eileen, and DJ Stingray 313 are also present at Expedition Festival.

Tickets for Expedition Festival are available here.
