On the 6th of October, the world’s best motion design will be on show on every screen in the public space. In Rotterdam, renowned works can be seen on screens at Central Station, public transportation, shopping centers, streets, and Rotterdam The Hague Airport during the Design in Motion Festival.
DEMO is founded by Studio Dumbar (part of Dept). This international design agency specialised in visual branding and online branding is located in Rotterdam. Together with Exterion Media Netherlands they dreamt of showing beautiful motion design on hundreds of giant screens. For everyone to see.
In 2019 the first edition of the event was held in Amsterdam Central Station. Now all Out of Home media owners have collectively agreed on 24 hours of ad-free space on October 6th. As a result, DEMO Festival will be visible on more than 5000 screens all around the country. The Netherlands will thus transform into an open-air exhibition. Making DEMO the largest motion design festival celebration in the world once more. Offering a break from commercial messages and transforming the public space into a living gallery.
This initiative celebrates the finest motion design from the studios, designers, upcoming talents and art academies. DEMO not only shows the best motion work of today, but it also presents a program that creates a whole new motion experience. An Open Call follows soon.
