Denise Roobol presents a new collection of vegan bags

Denise Roobol is a vegan designer bag brand based in Rotterdam. She started in 2013 when she finished the Willem de Kooning academy. Her new summer collection goes by the name: Modern Urbanism. It’s inspired by modern life in the city.

The colours that recur in the Modern Urbanism collection are inspired by the colours of the city, soft, bright and fitting for every occasion. The collection was photographed in the heart of Rotterdam, at the Kop van Zuid. Where the city buildings stand in their strength and the collection with its natural newborn colours comes into its own. The harmony of the minimalist collection and the purity of the city give a lively feeling.

The collection has some new designs. The Laptop bag makes its debut. This elegant and minimalistic bag suits the woman who is often on the road and likes to carry her laptop fashionably. The two compartments make it easy to organise your belongings. There is also a new smaller edition of the bestseller: the Charlie bag. The Mini Charlie bag has one compartment inside and is the ideal size for a summer evening dinner or a walk through the city. The Mini Charlie bag can be carried with a long or short handle.

All items from Denise Roobol are PETA approved. The products are made of Microfibre, a durable material consisting of pressed fibres with a strong coating. The lining is made of recycled PET bottles. Not only animal welfare is important to Denise Roobol, the team also want the products to be produced in a fair way. That is why Denise Roobol works with a BSCI certified workshop. This means that the employees work under good working conditions and receive fair wages.

Denise Roobol wants to emphasise the vegan aspect, but also prove that a vegan bag can also be fashionable and trendy. In this way, the brand wants to inspire everyone how easy and beautiful a sustainable lifestyle can be.

The bags are available online and at MYSC (Meent 28-30).
