Ahoy Rotterdam will host the 2026 Artistic Gymnastics Word Championships

The Artistic Gymnastics Word Championships will return to Rotterdam. The event is planned for 17-25 October 2026 in Ahoy, the same venue which staged the 2010 World Championships.

Monique Kempff is President of the Royal Dutch Gymnastics Federation. She commented: β€œWe are very proud that the Netherlands and Rotterdam can once again show the world how beautiful our sport is. Our dream is to show that Gymnastics is fun, even at the World Championship level. We’re going to make it something unforgettable.”

The 2012 Olympic and triple World Champion on the Horizontal Bar Epke Zonderland was the flagbearer of the Dutch delegation. Together they made the trip to Croatia to promote the candidacy of Rotterdam for the Artistic Gymnastics Word Championships.

β€œAs a former gymnast, as a father and as a doctor, I realise how making exercise is part of your daily life,” said Zonderland to the Council.
