Top bass player Richard Bona and Alfredo Rodríguez are coming to Rotterdam. The virtuoso music of this special duo will show how closely African and Cuban music are connected. Bona and Rodríguez are accompanied by Taylor Gordon on drums. Bona is one of Africa’s most versatile musicians and sings in his native language Duala, a Cameroonian dialect that stands out for its almost hypnotic sounds. His voice blends in a masterful way with jazz, bossa nova, pop, afrobeat and funk. Richard recently discovered Afro-Cuban music. In Cuban Alfredo Rodríguez he found his dream partner, a pianist and arranger who can spark any music style.
